Welcome to our jungalow blog, where you can see a little bit of what da heck we´re up to a way down here in Yucatan, Mexico. We´ve purchased a parcel of land from a friend, Bonnie, who lives on an old Spanish rancho. We are deep in the Mayaland´s beautiful countryside, just over an hour´s drive south of Merida and @ 15 minutes drive south of the spectacular Mayan ruins of Uxmal. We´re on the outskirts of the pueblo, or village, of Santa Elena, the home of this beautiful spanish iglesia (church), which some believe was built on the ruins of (and with the stone from) a Mayan pyramid.
